just swooped up a tahoe the rear door makes a weird noise sounds like a bent spring or something not comming from a hinges sounds like its comming from that little arm thing that go's in and out???
Very common problem. That little 'arm thing' is supposed to roll on a wheel inside the door. A lot of times the wheel gets stuck and the arm just rubs on the stuck wheel and if left unfixed long enough, the arm will grind a flat area on the wheel. If this happens, no amount of grease or lube will help. Either it will have to be replaced with another one or you can replace with a newer part that doesn't have this problem. Here's a thread about it- http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27786
took the door panel off that little arm thing go's in and out of a little box with a spring in it i guess it was missing one 10mm nut and the other one was about to fall off tightened it all up good as when it was new!
good to know. both of my rear doors have been doing that for quite some time now. i had just been spraying em down with lithium grease... : ) i'll have to look into replacing those.
I had the problem of my drivers door squeaking when I opened or closed it but only when almost closed. It turned out to be pebbles down by the running board. Cleaned them out and the noise went away.
