In my haste of buying this thing I purchased a very well maintained and clean 02 Tahoe LS and took for granted that all had some feathers that I felt were pretty common. So rather than admit defeat and sell this truck only to buy another I have 1 problem that I have to figure out. This 02 was ordered without rear heat or air. What would it take to add it? I am not concerned with venting the heat and air out of the ceiling and getting the rear air and heat box and lines isn't an issue however electrical is. To avoid selling and buying again I would consider spending a weekend and about $500 to get rear air in the back of this truck. How realistic is it if I could get lines and hoses and complete rear air/heat assembly from a doner truck for half of my budget?

Im sure you could pick up all thats needed from a salvage yard. Not sure what they would charge you though. That would be my route though. Probably need the AC compressor from one with rear air as well. Im certain it would be quite a bit of work to get it all done though.

If you're up for all the work then go for it.
Like stated just find a salvage yard and pull all you can. Just be sure to trace all the wiring and components so you don't miss anything.

I'd say either forget it, or sell, and buy one with the option. I'm betting it'll cost way more than what it's worth to try to add it. You've got quite a bit to install to get it. Plus like you said all the wiring for the controls in the overhead plus in the center console. Not to mention the BCM programming that will be needed to make the system run.
