I recently obtained a 2002 yukon and it is missing part of the center console. It was a government vehicle. I noticed that the rear audio controls do not do anything. I have access to the parts to replace the front portion of the console with the remote cd tray. I will be upgrading to a stock GM radio that will allow the control of that cd tray.
My question is regarding what does the rear audio control actually do? i have a feeling that the police department at some point downgraded the radio to the stock basic bare bones radio and removed the radio that was compatible with the rear controls.
