03-06 Delco Radio Unlock

Hi all,

I bought a Delco radio to put into my 04 Denali. First off, is there a way to unlock the radio or does this model pretty much require that I go to the dealer for that? Is that the cheapest option?

Second, will it require re-programming of the vehicle itself since it originally came with a nag? I imagine that would get pretty pricey. Do any non-dealers do this?

Theftlock is activated, unfortunately you need to find someone with a TechII or a dealership to unlock the radio. The radio marries to the BCM which allows it to be used.

The radios also keep track of how many vehicles had the radio installed. I added a newer nav unit to my 05 and it showed that it was the third vehicle the radio was installed into.

Mine cost my $100 at a dealer for 5 - 10 mins work. It took 2 hours to get to it first though....
