03 denali autoride air shock help

Hello..need help. If I replace the air shock auto ride on mg 03 denali with regular gas shocks...what could happen? Would it ride like crap? I know it will still show the error code on the dash. But I dont care about that. But does it affect my trucks performance? Will it affect the stabilitrac on my awd denali? i know about resistors n arnott so please any other ifo would be great. I hust wanna know if anyone had autoride n switched to gas dhock s n how ur truck reacted.computer..performance wise..
