While I have been researching Alot on here about Autoride issues. And of course mine are blown along with compresser. However I think I wanna keep it because truck rides so nice and not sure how it would effect all wheel drive and stabil trac. The wife will be driving the truck and here in new Hampshire we get quite a bit of snow and want to make sure she has all advantages of the system. But I run a dmax do we don't need to the auto leveling except for when loaded with people. Also wanna do 1 inch drop springs and shock extenders to bring back down to match factory front. Sorry kind of long winded just looking for advice thanks Aaron

A great question.
I have been looking into this some myself as I am considering lowering with/without autoride.
First: Autoride will not help you in the snow - has nothing to do with the drive system actually. It does however give us a nice cushy ride.
The ride is not hard to keep around - the auto-leveling might be a little tougher to keep around, but with some aftermarket equipment I think its possible.

Norcal SS seems to be a goto guy around here for just this sort of thing.
Looks like he likes to keep a decent ride quality on his truck.
Here is his site. http://www.tbssowners.com
Also I noticed user max here boasts that he has a great ride with a lowered truck.
Usually he is along to comment on questions like this.

I think I will let more knowledgeable help take it from here.

Aaron, I would recommend getting a 2" drop spring from Belltech, shock extenders and shorter autoride rods. That should get your rear level with a little adjustment. I'm not sure on the autoride rod length but Tony should be able to shed a little light on that. Hope this helps. Any other questions, feel free to ask and I'll do what I can do answer them as well.

Contact NorcalSS for kit info. He's got very good prices and the best customer service I've ever seen.
