I've got an 03 yukon with the 5.3. Long story short my oil pressure showed little pressure while driving and almost none at idle. Then a day or two later showed 80+ while driving. Was told to replace sending unit and that it was near the dis. cap. Its not, anybody know where to find it? Thanks in advance.

I must not have looked hard enough. Is the the diagram for the 5.3? The reason I ask is because I've got the part and it doesn't look like the one shown.

may I suggest that your most likely issue is the GAUGE MOTOR, not the sensor?

usually it is the speedo that goes first, but they will ALL fail exactly like that.

If that doesn't fix it I know where to look next. Thanks for the help.
