Been out of the car audio/electronics game for several years and looking for recommendations for an alarm with remote start and any other anti-theft recommendations. I am also very interested in a sub to go under the second row bench seat as I like to have the space free behind the third row.

Thanks

I'm using a Viper with back up battery, siren, glass break sensor, motion sensor, and remote start. I pretty much asked for them to load everything on, but we have had issues with the motion sensor.

could either cut open the fake spot in the back, or get another from an older truck. either a custom box or grab one from an older truck and put it back there.

there could/should be one in the front center console, if not again you can add a used factory one there or if looking for a bit more JL audio makes one to fit under there. but is spendy.

many really like stuff like the massive audio hippo in 6.5 or 8, as they are small but have big sound when in a good box for them.

but there are always cheaper options depending on what your goal and budget is.

I also have a Viper alarm with the same options. Works very well for me.20210817_173729.jpg
I made sure to tell them I didn't want any holes drilled in my dash or anywhere else for that blinking light. They put it above my rearview mirror, stuck on my glass. I'd def tell them that if I were you.

Eff me! My shop is way better than I thought. I didn't know/think to tell them to do that, and that's how they did my install. Are there any features you got that weren't on my original list? I kind of want to have the AUX button programmed to roll my windows down about an inch, for venting (this is on my '04 Silverado -- it's black).

I don't know if I have a battery backup. The alarm installer did tell me I could add the windows module if I wanted them. He was talking about having them roll up if they were down, once I armed it. Could probably program the Aux button for that.
I'm not sure if they would've put the alarm light in the glass if I never mentioned it, but I didn't want to take a chance. I've seen some really expensive vehicles that had aftermarket alarms installed, and the moron installers would just drill a hole in the dash, center console--or where ever else. I didn't want chance it.
