03 tahoe cruise control stop working

have a friend with a 03 tahoe and his cruise control stopping working today when he hits the set bottom the cruise light on the dash does not come on, he has checked the fuse seems to be ok any ideas?

it stopped working after he installed his ebay L.E.D taillights, checked all the brake lights worked

He needs load equalizers, or resistors. Now that the LED's are in, the system doesn't see the "load" of a light bulb, assumes that either a bulb or fuse is out, and disables the cruise control.
