I have an 03 Tahoe Z71 4x4 that started making a awful noise like something is falling out and grinding in the tranny. It started while on the hwy at 60 mph. It felt and sounded like something broke underneath. Limped to a parking area until tow truck got there. He had me put it in reverse and the sound was even worse. Any ideas what it might be? Thanks
I have an '02 Tahoe Z71, and at 165k miles had the same issue, which screamed/screetched when put in reverse. My issue was a cracked rear planet carrier. I upgraded to the A/C Delco 5 planet carrier (amongst other things) on the rebuild .Hello,
