Hello all , new to the forum and who better to ask than you regulars ...
Have been in the powerstroke world for quite a few years now with lifted trucks and just no longer had the need for diesel so came back to my roots , anyway...
2003 z71 tahoe , all stock other than i installed third row. I am looking at lowering kits , yes i know - why lower 4x4 blah , blah , blah.......... to each their own right ? I do not wheel it , i do not want 10mpg by lifting it , and do not like the look of stock. Only other sensible alternative i see is to lower it some. We have crazy hilly winding roads out here so it should enhance the driving experience as well ! I do not want to go slammed and prefer no larger than 20" wheels and was looking at 2/3 kits with spindles. We tow a 24' boat about 3/4 mile to the lake and the ramp is steep hence needing the 4x4 when the ramp is wet. Ah-hah ! making sense now eh ?
What are folks doing on the Z71 models for drops ? PICS ? would love to see some rim combos with the pewter paint as well. Again , i really do not want it slammed but do prefer to go lower than the front sits currently. Also was looking at a set of helper bags for the rear to use when the boats hooked...input ?
