repeatedly for the p0171, p0300, p0131,,, all indicate that something weird is happening in the left back causing lean mixture at the pre-CC o2 sensor.
The weird thing (to me) is it only happens when it hasn't warmed up. I'm in Chicago (been in the teens) and as long as the engine temp is below 210 (normal running temp) it will run rough, sputter at idle and get terrible gas mileage.
When it warms up, idles smooth, the mileage is greatly increased and behaves itself well.
It's interesting to note that even after it's warmed up, if I shut it off and then restart it, it will misbehave again for a few minutes.
I wondered about the EGR valve, but damned if I can find it. T Vin number (not a Flex car) but there is nothing in front of the oil access. I've found pictures on the net of trucks that have it located there and mine simply doesn't have it. Don't know if there is another alternate locations...
Otherwise seems like it might be a vacuum leak (can't find it with carb cleaner) or a faulty 02 sensor, although I've read that these rarely go bad.
Seems to me if it was a vacuum leak it wouldn't be temperature sensitive. I also don't know if there are places where a vacuum leak would cause only the left bank to act up.
Those are my thoughts, feel free to correct me (I'm not a pro) and point me in the right direction.
thanks ahead of time
