I picked up an 04 Denali (6.0 obviously) that has a flowmaster catback on it. Well, since its a flowmaster system it's rotted and nearly ready to fall off. I am having problems finding a replacement denali exhaust. Are they different than a 5.3 yukon or tahoe that they aren't interchangeable? Do i need something for an escalade? Since its a catback i just can't replace the muffler, the whole system is shot, behind the factory stainless converter pipes. I tried a search but wasn't finding quite what I was looking for.

also, i'm not looking for a loud powerful exhaust, something quieter/less drone like the flowmaster 50 series since i'm going to be towing and carrying an infant around.

Get you a OEM 5.3 crossover pipe (Y-pipe) from guys over at performance trucks, LS1Truck. It will bolt right in.
Prolly get it for next to nuthing since most those guys just throw them away..

Then get a 3.5" Stainless MBRP Catback from Ebay, Can get it for 380$ shipped.
Its VEry good catback, and has NO drone in cabin aswell as being nice and quiet during cruise, but barks nicely during WOT..

I have installed a few MBRP's and Corsa catbacks now, Fitment is identical quality is identical, Cost is substantially cheaper with the MBRP and I think the MBRP sounds better.

will the 5.3l y-pipe bolt right up or is that something that needs to be welded? Im in the same boat as the OP. I really want a corsa but refuse to spend that much on my truck for a catback...i have both a bike and car i would rather dump that money into

by the picture shown on mbrp's website it looks like before the muffler its 1 pipe...and on our factory 6.0's im pretty sure there is 2 pipes going into the factory muffler

yess the 5.3 Y pipe will bolt right in and bolt right up to the MBRP catback.

Yes the OEM pipe system on the denali is a 2 into 1 system. hence getting the OEM 5.3 Y-pipe. you convert to a single pipe system.

I also like the Magnaflow catback systems, had one on my Tahoe.

ive heard the magnaflow and think its a little too quiet for my liking. I dont wanna spend $550 on a catback that isnt going to be much different then stock. Is fitment on the 00-06 6.0 denali/escalde the same?..

My catback was much louder than stock on my Tahoe. Sounded like the end of the world when I got on it.

I have a OEM 5.3 Y pipe with converters for sale, just PM me. need it gone.
My exhaust consist of 1 3/4" LPP longtube headers with 3" collectors, mounted to a 3" Off Road Wye pipe (no converters), straight to a 4" Magnaflow 30" case SI/SO, then turned down under the truck right at the muffler. :)
