Good Evening all,
I just purchased a 2004 Tahoe LS 2WD, with 34k on the odometer. Was owned by a little old lady who took it to church every Sunday essentially. Anyway, it drives amazing, super smooth and straight, doesn't feel like a 10 year old car. Only thing i've noticed is that at lower speeds over bumps there's a pretty decent clunking/banging coming from the front (what sounds like drivers side) suspension. I've looked at everything underneath and aside from some surface rust on everything, it all looks to be tight. I read about the Intermediate Shaft for the Steering Wheel, but I don't really feel it in the steering wheel when it happens, it's mostly just a noise thing. Any ideas of where to start? I know the brakes need replaced, could it have to do with that at all?
