hey guys I'm new to forums . I got a issue that been bugging me since I got my denali couple moths ago. The truck in question is a 04 Yukon xl Denali. It has 102000 miles on it . My issue is some times when cold I leave drive way and when I let off gas it clunks if I get back on it it clunks that goes away in like a minute thought after I start driving and Dosent do it all the time. I also have a clunk that has been bothering me when I drive it if I let off gas and get back on quick not smooth it clunks every time if I do it smooth no clunk. I have had tranny serviced and I got records on truck and it said front dog and transfer case was rebuilt at 62000 miles. I also did the transfer case service. And one more thing if I let it coast down form 50 to 30 feels like every once in awhile it like shudders just coasting very slight most people can't feel it but I definitely can. Once u feel it you will always feel it.

Have you figured anything out?
I would check the u-joints first. My '02 denali had a vibration show up, and it was the front front driveshaft joint at the transfer case.
Since yours had the transfer case and front differential out, they should be fine but easy to check out.
Other easy things are to make sure the transmission mount, and the front differential mounts are all tight.

I looked at a 2005 escalade of my buddies, with the same issue, and the rear driveshaft output, at the transfer case, had a lot of play. I could move the slip joint up and down about an 1/8", and could hear a dull clunk inside the 'case, near where the viscous coupling would be.
