I have had my Denali for 2yrs now. It's got about 180k and running strong. I've decided to put some cash into the interior. I also am open to suggestions before I start making my purchases.
1. Replace all carpet and pad. I was thinking of using DynaPad or something similar... suggestions? And a mass-back black carpet.

2. Converting the front seat to a Bench seat. I never use the rear AC controls or radio so I think I will be ok to delete that. But I do need to figure out how to relocate the seat heater switches.

3. Install new high end DVD/NAV unit with backup camera. I think I can use the video output into the factory rear tv.

4. Upgrade the whole speaker system. I have a factory Bose some I'm not sure what my options are yet.

5. Replace all seats with a more child resistant material. Maybe neoprene?

If anyone has any advice, suggestions, or things I should do while I have stuff removed or etc. please feel free to chime in.

Interior options are endless. Sounds like you have some good plans. I'll comment on what I did.

1. Definitely makes a difference. http://www.stockinteriors.com is where I got mine and other guys on here have used them. They can send you small samples for comparison if you want. I did not do Dynamat, but ordered the mass backing (need a good tough pair of shears to cut thru that stuff) and some custom carpeted floor mats front and rear with the Bowtie. You could get Denali or GMC.

While I had everything out, I gave the interior a good scrub and clean and decided to go one step further and change out my headliner. Nothing to flashy, but did go one shade darker with the carpet and the headliner. I painted the fittings in my overhead a shade darker to match up better. Looks so much cleaner top and bottom.

I also removed my OnStar shark fin antenna and plugged it up top. Instant cheap shave and smoother roofline in front.

Here is a link to my build thread for pics and write up.

Got nothing specific for you on 2. 3 and 4 is personal preference and $$. There are some amazing ideas on here and guys have some killer set ups. I just replaced my OEM stuff with nothing too crazy.

5. I still think leather is great for kids. Clean quickly, handles their abuse and always looks good. Holds resale down the track. Changing out the seat bottoms on these trucks is not too touch and if you have the interior torn apart, might as well do it then if you have something worn. eBay can get you just the seat bottom for about $160 (with seat heaters, etc...might be a bit more)
