the rear seat drivers sides seat heater switch is showing both orange lights on but the seat is not heating and i cant turn of the switch. i unplugged the the connector under the seat and the lights went out.i found this late last night have not had time to dig into it, was wondering if anyone else has had this problem all, 3 of the other seat heaters work fine. i'm wondering if the pad shorted out or the switch is gone.the rear seats never get used.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't have heated seats but there are gobs of threads here about their failure rate.

yeah I've seen threads for front seats haven't seen any for the rear, stopped by the dealer today and told them what was going on and they said it was a good chance it was the switch since it wouldn't turn off.

Likely right but maybe the heater as well. Are you taking in for diagnostics at the dealer?

I'm going to try diagnosing a few things with the ohm meter checking for some continuity in the switch or the heating element before I take it to them and get my wallet cleaned out.
