I have pulled and replaced the GM 15800001 NAV/radio/XM in my truck. old system NAV CD Drive broke.

I drop the new one in and it all works but NO XM option for source...

I drop the old unit in and XM starts right away, not sure what to do... GM parts guys are lost and GM services guys told me to call XM... but with out the source for XM you cant see the XM ID.

ANY IDEAS?
Thanks

I"ve read about something similar before.

Someone added one of those units that uses XM2 for iPod control. Something happened, and suddenly the head unit lost XM altogether. It was a configuration issue.

I think the solution was pulling a fuse to the radio, or disconnecting the battery, something to make the head unit start over... (not sure which technique was used.)

After the person started over, the head unit "found" the XM module once again, and all was well.
