Hi fellas,

Looking to trade my 06 Tahoe in for a 07-2014 Escalade.
The trims that the Esky's come in are sorta confusing to me. Especially when most for sale ads by dealerships and private sellers dont list the trim. What are the easiest ways to tell?

I would love to get a 2012 Premium (Soulsea's :)) because of the clear smoke tails and body matched accents, but I need to stay under 30k.

Could I get an 08 or 09 and upgrade it so to speak with the 2012 Premium bumber and taillights?

Thanks so much, Matt

Yes. I did that to mine. I have a 10 luxury and now it looks basically like a 14 premium. With platinum/premium front end and dual exhaust rear end and color matched some of the trim.

Thanks Brent,

Your Esky looks great!
Do all Premiums and Platinums come with the power assisted steps?
The Escalade I'm looking at now looks to have the standard non-retractable side steps which lead me to believe its a Luxury trim.

Yeah all Premiums and Platinums come with power. But Platinums started in 09. But also some luxury's had power steps as well I think.

According to the Carfax it is the Lux model:

Vehicle Information:
2009 CADILLAC ESCALADE LUXURY
VIN: 1GYFC23259R139702

Hope this helps.

Mark

Thanks Mark!

I am really trying to hold out for a Premium atleast. Finding one around 29k is going to be tough.

I really wanted a black 12 Premium Escalade but the cheapest I found was like $42K or so. At only 3 years old I realized I couldn't afford them. I ended up with an 11 Denali certified pre owned for $34K with zero regrets.
