This is the screen you get in an 07-14 when the Navi is pissed off from having the battery removed and replaced without a memory saver hooked up to the system. I did try pulling the fuse and disconnecting the battery and touching + & - together (while OFF the battery!). Nothing brought it back to life except the removal & disconnect.

In this particular scenario your Navi can be brought back to life if you pull the unit and unplug all the power harnesses. IT’S ALIVE after a hard reboot.

The Navi (a 2014 unit) also went into this mode during its installation when replacing it with the original 09 DVD based unit last year. Scary feeling to think you fried a $4-$8H navi. If you have your blue graphic banner screen at start up then the time displayed only, this is your fix.

whoa, wrong forum. Mods pls move to Audio, ty

I went into the menu and turned off the screen display. The highway patrol shut down all eight lanes of the 5 Northbound in San Juan Capistrano. I do this to set my phone over the Navi display so it doesn't heat up the phone when I'm watching TV on it. When I went to start the truck the next morning, I got the same blank screen with the time on it again. Cool!

Two days pass and I'm trying to think of what hack I saw in the past that allows you to bypass this screen. You're supposed to be able to touch any button and have it come back to life. After looking on the interwebs I realized the secret screen hacks were for Tahoe / Yukon / Burb Navi units.

I guessed that one of the buttons held down on this Navi unit must command it go into diagnostic mode or manually come back. Guessed it on the 2nd attempt.

HOLD THE NAVI BUTTON FOR 5-6 SECONDS AND IT WAKES UP THE NAVI. No more removing and disconnecting the unit from its harness.
