I mentioned this on another post a few below this one (sorry for posting the same information twice), but I had this issue on my 07 Tahoe off and on for about a month. It may just be a loose connection, or a dirty throttle body.
I ended up taking off the throttle body and mass air flow sensor and cleaning them with the appropriate cleaner. It was pretty easy and only took about 20 minuets total.
This fixed my problem, but if that doesn't work then you may have to get a new throttle body. From what I have read, you cannot just replace the sensor on a Tahoe, you have to actually replace the whole throttle body. That doesn't seem right to me, but everything looked like that was the case when I was reading about this issue. If you do have to replace the throttle body, I think it would be pretty easy to find one at a junk yard or somewhere else pretty cheap. If it is covered by a warranty I would just take it in. My Tahoe is out of warranty, so I was trying to avoid taking it in for something I could fix.
