On my 07 LTZ I've been getting a service suspension message pretty much everytime I start up the truck. The ride height looks fine all around and doesn't ride bad. I have noticed that the air compressor never runs anymore to where use to it would start up for a few seconds after the truck had been sitting for a while. I have read many post about replacing shocks, sensors, compressor, etc. and taking to dealer to get a scan run. I'm thinking that the compressor has to be bad since it never runs? Would a sensor or anything cause it not run? Just wanting to fix myself without taking to dealer

The compressors are known to fail, but check the fuse first and run a jumper wire to see if it kicks on at all. If not then you know it's the compressor and you can buy a dorman unit to replace it.
