I have a new2me 07 Tahoe LTZ with the automatic level control/air compressor rear shock setup. I'm reading conflicting information between the manual and the instructions for my Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch for my travel trailer.
the GM manual says to allow the shocks to inflate & level the vehicle before adjusting the hitch. The Equal-i-zer hitch instructions say to turn off load leveling on the vehicle. Is that even possible to do?
Anyone here tow and use a weight distribution bar setup? How did you go about setting it up with the rear leveling system?
My thoughts are to start the Tahoe, let the rear end level and then shut off the vehicle. take my measurements for the distribution bar and do the setup and install the distribution bars. Once the bars are in place, then start the truck again and let the compressor level off.
I'm looking for some help/guidance on getting setup for towing.
