Hi all,

-2007 Denali
-Lockpic installed
-2007 GM navi disc

The navigation always worked fine over the years but recently when I turn it on the screen shows the incorrect location to where it thinks I am.

Occasionaly it will suddenly find me and carry on normally. I've unhooked the battery and waited a while as well as ejected the disc. All fails.

This one time I noticed the word GPS to the upper left of the screen had a red strike through it but that's not there anymore.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue before? I just know if I take it to the dealer they'll say I need a whole new unit which I don't think is the case. It appears to be a GPS attenna issue.

DVS,

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue. This may be due to a loss of signal of the gps and could be related to the antenna. The GPS antenna is located in the upper center of the instrument panel. Electronic devices and aftermarket films or tinting can interrupt the signal. Move electronic devices away from the antenna.

If this is not the issue, due to the battery being disconnected, the vehicle navigation may need to be “relearned”. It may be necessary for the vehicle to be driven up to 25 mi with 15 left and 15 right turns while the vehicle location icon is matched to roads on the displayed map.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me privately.

That's the next step if it doesn't wake up. I'll go back in there and remove the Lockpic and see if it works.
Thanks :)
