07 tahoe tranny problems

truck was on a hill at a stop light took my foot off of brakes it rolled like it was a manual

Sounds normal to me..tahoes do not have a hill assist feature like some european vehicles.

My old 4Runner had a hill hold feature and it had nothing to do with the tranny either. If you were on a steep enough incline when you stepped on the brake you could feel a slight clunk which was the computer keeping brake pressure applied until you gave it some gas.

Even with that on some hills it would still creep back a bit if you weren't careful.

Certainly not a tranny problem though.
