Recently took my Yukon in for warranty work at the dealership and had some maintenance work done while we wait for parts for some cosmetic work to be done.
- oil change
- new battery
- change rear diff. fluid
- new brakes
- changed/flushed all fluids

I've never had a problem with the vehicle but yesterday I noticed that when I start it up, the engine revs very loud and doesn't stop until I shift into drive or reverse. The RPMs are slightly higher on the tachometer but nothing that is alarming. Any idea what could have caused this?

Also, looking at buying some new tires (P275/55R20). My shop quoted me some Cooper tires but I have several options and could use feedback based on others' experiences. The options are:

- Michelin X Radial LT2s
- BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A Tour
- Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor
- Goodyear Fortera TripleTred
- Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour
- Pirelli Scorpion ATR
- Goodyear Eagle LS2

I appreciate your feedback and help.

Regards,

d.

maybe knocked a vacuum line off? sounds like some type of vacuum leak, get it checked, can make the truck run dangerously lean.

For the tires I've always been a fan of Goodyear but Coopers are good as well...

- Michelin X Radial LT2s

Had them put on my NBS escalade, BMW x5, and now NNBS denali. They are a pretty bullet proof tire for me. Low highway noise, and more importantly for me... they take the offroad/construction sites very well. Real good tire IMO.

Edit: Actually, I lie, Michelin LTX M/S 2... good tire!
