I'm looking to put nav/rear view camera/back up sensors on my 07 yukon. Just seeing if anyone has done this before or if there is anything i should look out for. For example, if the nav comes with bluetooth by my steering wheel doesn't have the blue tooth button on it, am i going to run into problems?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You can do it...its a fairly simple mod and will require programming from the dealership. If you want bluetooth, it doesnt come from the NAV it comes from the VCIM. There is a seller on ebay that has brand new ones for 250, thats about as good of a price as you will get for that....Oh and this is assuming your talking about OEM NAV, if your not then list what you plan to install.

if u want oem bluetooth the mic is on the headliner. your going to have to make a hole in the headliner and run wires. I would do it though just to keep everything oem. As for the navi. Do u have Bose? if not then u will need the navigation that works without Bose. which will run u in the $1000 range thats if u want the oem Nav unit. and for the rear sensors cant help u out on that one. I still trying to figure whats involved in this. sorry.

This is all going to be OEM. I do have the BOSE sound system and rear entertainment/dvd. Also, i have a "mic" in the headliner right above the driver seat, i'm assuming that its for onstar. would that work as well or would i need to put a new hole in?

its fairly simple, i installed the oem nav in my 08 yukon. since i have an aftermarket speakers and amp mine was a direct plug and play. (my truck didnt have bose) the problem with bose and non bose is the non bose headunits have a built in amp and the navigation units dont have that built in amp. so if you take out the non bose radio your essentialy removing the amp from the truck. thats not a problem on the bose equipped head units because they have the bose amp in the center console. anyways what im trying to get at is if you put the OEM nav unit in your non bose truck your going to need an amplifier. (the sound is barely audible without it) also the bluetooh VCIM was a direct plug and play but for some reason it wouldnt work with the oem nav installed (it wasnt recognizing my voice commands) so i put the stock radio back in set the bluetooth up on phone and truck and then put the OEM nav back in and it works like a champ. the ONLY thing i havent quite figured out yet was the vcim wiring. maybe thats why the voice commands dont work on my nav unit. not sure

you must have posted the same time i did... anyways no you dont need to make another hole. all i did was install the bluetooth VCIM and it worked like a champ. i believe it uses the onstar microphone already in the headliner. you dont need to swap the buttons on the steering wheel unless you want the phone button for some reason. the buttons work the same just different icons.

wow I had no clue that with an aftermarket amp the OEM nav will work. I would of went the OEM route rather than my Pioneer head unit. but I sure do like my Pioneer.

Then it should be a simple swap from the stereo u have now to the Navigation System.

1STIMEYUKON How did u hook up the nav system. Im assuming its the same as other stereos with an amp?

No you wouldn't have. I had a pioneer avic Z110BT in my Tahoe and when I got my avalanche I decided to go the factory nav route. Big mistake. I miss my pioneer dd a LOT...
