So my daughter closed the door today and the window dropped straight down. Didn't this this was going to be a huge issue as I have had the same thing happen on my STi and it took all of 10 minutes to fix, this doesnt seem to be the case.

I have gotten the inside door panel for the rear passenger seat off and was able to confirm that the motor IS working. I am able to move the cable motor up and down, and the top (silver cap portion of black cable area in the picture) will extend and retract if I do so. The bottom exposed cable (silver cable highlighted in bottom of the picture) remains fairly slack, but it does move.

My question is how is this supposed to look? The silver cable is still connected to the window housing, and doest seem to be broken anywhere. Is there some sort of pulley system that is supposed to be present that it might have fallen off of? If so, does anyone have a diagram of how it goes on?

Thank you!

anyone?

So I decided to go for broke and try just removing the housing myself to see what it looked like. I found some interesting findings. It looks like the silver "cap" at the end of the black cable should have been in the housing that holds up the window. And it appears that the housing cracked.

In case anyone else runs into the issue I made a ****** diagram of how the cable should have been fed:
