08 LTZ stock USB?

I just picked up an 08 LTZ. The specs said it had Aux and USB plugs. It does have the extra 12v plug in the console but not a usb like i was hoping. The aux plug is on the HU like normal. I was wondering if they hadnt started doing the USB plugs in 08 yet? Either way i will probably swap it out to USB like nathanjax did once i put my Pioneer indash in. I just dont like being told it had one when it doesnt

from my understanding that didn't start until 2009. But if you had one, it would be in the center console.

Do all '09s have USB though? I just picked up an '09 Z71 and it definitely doesn't have a USB port.
