Hey, I have a bone stock 2009 LTZ (at least that s what the badging says, VIN check says COMMERCIAL TRIM?) but its loaded (ie. heated/colled front seat, 4 captains chairs, rear captains are heated and power fold, power rear gate, power/heated mirrors) and tow a boat. What can I do without breaking the bank to gain some hp/tq to make the long hills and pulling the boat out of the water a bit easier?

TIA

What Pete said, that's your biggest bang for the buck. If you physically delete the AFM system, a new camshaft with the appropriate tune can yield another 20-30 rear wheel horsepower. The stock exhaust can handle plenty of power though long tube headers do help as well.

That was the only thing I could think of bit still seems odd it comes up as commercial trim. The insurance a D dealers run the VIN and ot returns as an LS.

It would be interesting to see the RPO sheet and decode the VIN.

My wife took the Tahoe this morning but when she gets back I'll post a picture of the RPO. The VIN is 1GNFK13049R244384

Look up black bear tune... they go into trucks computer and change parameters to give you a little more get up and go...

I was just on their website. Is the $600 (Autocal) worth a mild tune if I don't plan on cam swap or force induction or anything like that?
