Hi Jason,

Are you talking about doing a retrofit or about buying aftermarket headlamps?

Jason I'm afraid there's no direction to point you to that's not going to be a waste of money. Every single one of those ebay type aftermarket headlights with 'projectors' in them are built for halogen bulbs. The output is worse than your stock setup because those projectors don't project light better than your stock reflectors. And if you waste even more money and stick HID bulbs in them, you will get this output:

attachment.php

These things are not actually projectors, just plastic molded to look like a projector.

I know this because I made this mistake myself before getting a proper retrofit.

Once again, your options are:

1. Do nothing and buy the best halogen bulbs for your oem halogen reflectors.
2. Throw money in the toilet by buying aftermarket housings.
3. Stick HID bulbs in your halogen reflector housings and glare everywhere.
4. Retrofit.

More info can be found in the 'HID BASICS' link in my signature.

Cheers!

Oh and the only pre-retrofitted plug and play solution out there for your truck is by BFC: http://blackflamecustoms.com/produc...-avalanche-projector-retrofit-headlights-p-94

But it's not cheap ... although cheaper than throwing $200 away on crap aftermarket housings. :)

the link he provided from blackflame pretty much involves you unplugging your stock lamps and plugging these in. I would ask them the questions directly. :Handshake:

Well, I linked to you the BFC plug and play solution. For many that don't have a qualified retrofitter near them to do a custom retrofit and/or don't want to do it themselves, it is their only option.

Not sure where you are located to point you to a retrofitter, but you can always register on hidplanet.com and post your questions in the 'noobie' forum, including inquiring about retrofitters in your area ... there's also a wealth of info there in their 'university' forum. Just make sure you use the search feature, those folks get cranky if they see that you didn't. :)

Btw, in the middle of this page I posted some output shots of a Tahoe retrofit: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29620&page=10
