I have plans on putting airbags on the rear of my Denali and ditching all of the electronic shocks. The bag kit I would like to use drops the rear 1-2" depending on the air pressure.

I guess what I'm asking is what is the best way to lower the front 1"?
just lower with the torsion bars? replace the keys? I really don't want to lose the quality of ride because I think it rides great now. As for shocks, I was thinking Bilsteins all the way around. Do you think I will need drop brackets for the rear only going down 2"? also for the front, will I or should I get a shorter shock for only 1"?

from experience, shocks don't last when they get bottomed out.

I do tow a larger trailer, 30'+ this is one reason for airbags in the rear, They will last so much longer than air shocks.
Also for now I'm running the stock 17" Denali wheels. I have found a 20" wheel I like but putting them on without a small drop wouldn't good to me. I modified the picture to give you an idea. I got it from americas tires site and cut the tires out and moved them up a little to get a good idea of how it will look.

any input, ideas, will be and are appreciated.

front keys/rear 2 inch drop springs for a 1/2 drop
front/rear belltech sp shocks

rear airlift helper bags inside the coil springs and your done. you can tow 30 foot one no problem. So you know m 6" spring on a suburban with helper bags inside them towing my buddys 5500 pound trailblazer ss with 6 of us in the truck and 2 13w7 subs in rear was no problem and thats a lot of tongue weight where is what matters a lot.

You do realize that the pic you posted is more like a 3" front and 5" rear drop, right?

+1 on Bilstien shocks.

if you want the drop like pic above yes its more than 1/2 and also my 3/5-6 kit rides excellent with the belltech sp shocks. I designed the rear springs around the shocks also

I don't think a 3-5 drop would work out very well with towing my trailer. as it I have my WD hitch flipped up and I'm still 2" low from where it should be. I know I can get a longer drop and turn it up but at some point it's going to get counter productive.

I wish I could go back in time and not sell my dually and divorce my wife then instead of waiting 5 years.

If I went to a 3-5 would I lose any of my ride quality? that is one thing I really like about my Denali is the nice smooth ride.

What would the difference be in cost?

Thanks
