I have an 07 tahoe 4x4. I bought it from a dealership in 2013. They had serviced it and put new brakes on. It had 60k miles on it. The very 1st thing i did was take a 2 hour trip through the mountains towing a boat. In 2019 i replaced the rear pads. They are now in need of replacing again. Fast forward to today. I still have the same front pads from when i got it they still have a lot of meat on them, both sides. The tahoe now has almost 170,000 miles on it. Anyone ever seen this before. Btw it is still my tow vehicle for my 19' fiberglass bass boat. Im seriously thinking about replacing the front ritors and pads all together.

Not often but yes. The original equipment is good stuff and you use your brakes right. My rears went 117K miles.

Got any pics of your ride dude? Say hi to Walter and Donny for me.

I am certain my front rotors are warped. Any recomendations on decent brands for replacement parts. And the rears are pretty chewed up also.

Power Stop is good... Of course the AC Delco's are good too...
In modern braking systems the rotors are softer metal than in the old days when
you would "turn" the rotors when you did pads... So the pad AND rotors now wear...
Always replace rotors with pads and always clean and relubricate the caliper slides with
the correct disc brake grease

GM OE which last year were provided by Akebono. The originals on mine were Australian, PBR. Strongly consider rebuilding or replacing your calipers. I learned the hard way.

We run Power Stop brakes on our little Kia, but the trucks get OE, they lasted so long, why change it?

Bought my 2500 in 2013 with 106k miles on it. Drove it to 200k without ever touching the brakes. Just last year I replaced everything - ps pump, high-pressure lines, master, rotors, pads, calipers. Only thing left that might be OEM is the brake lines.
