HI to all, new in here. Recently buy a 1997 GMC Yukon GT completely stock. I install a set of new tires 285/75/16, but want to go maybe taller and wider. But looks like 16in rims don't has the variety of tires like 15 or 17in. Can I install a set of 15in rims on it or 17 id preferred?

Also, my Yukon has 3.42 and trac-loc diff. The trac-loc is just in rear or also in front?

I agree with what BigDaddy13440 said about your options...

To answer your question about wheel size... if your vehicle came with 16s, it's likely due to the caliper/drum size - you don't want to decrease size for clearance reasons. If you want to change your wheel size, you can go up from factory sizing without causing problems as long as you're mindful of backspacing/offset as well as overall wheel/tire diameter and width.
