& yes there is a trans learn mode.
i am pretty sure BBP disables it by default, unless someone wants to keep it.

they do not disable it that I know of. They even recommend driving for a few days to let the trans learn after uploading your TCM tune before you request a retune of the trans. The adaptive learning feature is good because it maintains a consistent shift over time with wear. Or is at least supposed to.

GM introduced a new tranny fluid last year to address the issues with the 8speed. You may want to talk to your Dealer. The service tech at my Dealer said they were having pretty good luck with the new fluid. Good luck.

Back in January, they replaced the valve body, and from the part number on the invoice, it looks like they filled it with Mobil 1 Synthetic (
19417577 - MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC LV ATF HP TRANSMISSION FLUID) don't know if this is the new fluid you're talking about.
