I got an offer for some 17" rims. They are 9" wide, 17" diameter, so far so good, but with an offset of -12. Will those fit, or will they stick outside the fenders? My car is stock having only the factory fitted plastic fender flares.

Thanks, seems like I just have to pick them up and try - if they won't work, I can always sell them to someone else. :p

I only have 16" wheels on my car, but thinking about doing the GMT900 brake upgrade, and finding larger wheels except 22" are very hard here in Norway..

Picked up the wheels today, pulled off the tires (which I already sold for only $40 less than I paid for the complete set..) and test fitted the rims on my car.

In the rear: No problem at all.
In the front: Really "on the edge", but I think it will work. I will be running 265/70R17 tires.

And - it turned out the aftermarket wheels I have on my car (came with it) are even "worse" in the rear - the rear wheels are 10.5x16 ET-25, the fronts 8x16 ET0.

I've done a few calculations, and the "new" front wheel will stick 0.5" more out than the old, which should be no problem while in the rear, they'll leave more room than the old ones.

The case is that the Norwegian legislation don't accept wheels sticking even a little outside the fender on the top. I don't want to have to change wheels every time I go to the inspection or get pulled over, so it can't look too suspicious. ;)

Took a couple pics, will upload them later today when I get back home!
