Hi
Ive got a Tahoe that is stalling out at start up. Its starts up and runs up to 1100 rpm then it slowley drops off to around 500 then it just dies, no sputter or cough it just dies. Ive done a basic carb clean and that seemed to help for one day. Im going to seafoam the fuel and change the filter tomorrow. Does anyone have a good test for the fuel pump relay? Could the Idle air motor be the cause of my trouble? If any one has any suggestions I love to hear them. it the wifes daily driver and she is getting pissed. Thanks

You could check the fuel pump relay by switching it out with your ac relay but I don't really think that's the problem. The way it revs up then dies seems like it could be the tps going bad, but who knows, just a wild guess.

have you run the gas tank low lately? If so I'd go for the filter first.

will it run if you keep your foot on the gas?
