Here's the saga. We've run out of ideas and need HELP! PLEASE!
It all started when the hazard switch was jammed and needed replacing. Everything else worked fine up until then- in fact, I was on my way to get the bugger inspected. No problem. Got the part from NAPA and new switch was in- no need to replace MFS and remove steering column. NOOOOWWWWWW: 4-ways work great, but the rear lights (2 side tails and Cyclops bar) hyper flash constantly, unless the 4-ways or the brakes are on!!
We have:
checked every fuse and replaced those involved with the rear end
1) replaced the hazard switch again, in case it was bad.
2) replaced both tail light assemblies and the Cyclops bar (needed it anyway)
3) cut out the jury-rigged wiring for a long-gone trailer hitch and LED bar and direct-wired the tail lights to the main wiring harness.
4) replaced all the light bulbs in the front.
5) replaced the braided ground cable from the back of the engine to the frame and the frame to the firewall. (that fixed the dimming interior lights that pulsed with the hyper flash)
6) tried to locate the other grounds, but they seem to be ok.
7) memorized the wiring schematic for the rear of the vehicle (ask me anything!)
8) I'm sure there are other things we've tried that I'm forgetting- we've been at it for a couple weeks, now.

ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS? The clicking is driving us insane, not to mention that we'd like to be able to drive it. We're guessing the next step is to replace the MFS on the steering column, after all, but since all our other guesses have just opened up other cans of worms, we thought we'd get help.
THANKS!
