1996 2 Door Tahoe lowering it

I have a 96 4x4 tahoe I never use the 4x4 or plan on using it I have 26" rims and have around a 2 or 3 inch gap so I want to lower it... A shop near by said they can lower it for $200 which seems cheap I didnt ask what theyll do it. The only thing they told me is that its going to take me a little bit longer to fill up my gas tank because its going to pinch the neck of the gas tank? Is this normal? I haven't taken it yet

Sounds like their installing rear lowering shackles. And maybe adjusting the front torsion bars. The fuel fill has to be modified on two doors. I don't have lowering shackles on mine, so I can't comment. But the topic is covered on here.

Yeah I just dropped it off a a few hours ago thats exactly what he said the shackles and adjust the front. There cutting something or removing something on the control arm? and doing an aligment ill post pictures in a bit

they should be modding the fuel filler neck so it doesn't pinch it

They just adjusted the torq keys in the front and installed different shackles in the back

Hey bud, great looking hoe. Just picked up a 97 2door 4x4lt myself. Here is what I'm wondering what size tires were you running, offset on Tim and width. They look like u2 rims, which I'm digging. My goal is to run a nice set, then come hunting season put my 16s with tread. My suspension is stock z71 , also with it lowered any rubbing?
