I Have a 1996 Tahoe 5.7 LT there is a problem with the heater, I can select cold or hot on the dash dial but it only blows hot, the ac compressor clutch engages and the ac pipework gets ice cold does anybody have any ideas.

if temp control is the only problem then your temp door motor is probably broken. Any other issues?
Found the problem, there is a vacuum operated valve on the heater hose near the firewall, and the vacuum hose had perished, so it was stuck open, changed the hose the cabin heater now blows cold, thanks for you help
