vehicle still getting adjusted after rebuilt but currently if i am doing highway speeds once it gets to about 2100 rpm it drops my rpm to about 1500, still moving but doesn't feel like it.... if the engine is out of gear it accelerates like a champ and all checks are 100% ok... but in gear is another story.... once it has dropped to 1500 to accelerate i would have to let go and press the pedal hard for it to come up in rpm and feel like is doing something.... the way it feels to me is like even thou is sppining is not grabbing... but is definatly not slipping....help help help.....

when above a certain speed and not flooring the pedal the tranny shifts from third to fourth which is over drive and the torque converter lock up for a solid connection. If you depressed the gas slightly it will increase vehicle speed but in kind of like a lack of power type of feeling unless you press harder or downshift back into third gear. Next time when it happens move shifter to "3" and back to "D" with circle around it if it drops back down like you said that should be normal.

normal as best as one could tell from several thousand miles away. There are shift kits that improve on the original design to fix flaws and a make some improvements to shift quality. http://www.transgo.com/A1_4L60E-4L65E.html It has option to add on to the kit. You have the4l60e tranny installed. You can learn more about it hear. The overdrive is to save you gas mileage on freeway. If you drive on street alot it is best to put it in "3".

performance tuners that change programming on your computer can change shift points and firm up or loosen shift but making them loose will burn up friction parts faster.
