1997 GMC Sierra K1500 Front Diff????

Hey everyone,

Anyone know if the gears in the front Differential are the same as the 8.5" rear diff? Maybe the same as an 8.5" GM 10 bolt for a car? The reason i ask, i have a good set of 342 front gears laying around.

I think the diff up front on the IFS was 8.2somehting ... not the typical 8.5.
