98 Tahoe Clunk / Lurch Tranny? Just upgraded the injectors....

I am having this weird clunk / lurch at 45+ mph while accelerating to higher speeds. I have been reading up on the 1st to 2nd gear problem. Also, reading up on issues after upgrading the fuel injectors... (really gives me grief when it is warm out)

I have been having this issue when going at high speeds where the car will feel like its going to die but it keeps on going. The Tahoe is not throwing any codes and runs great. I just had the transmission serviced and a new seal added to the pan (was leaking). Intake manifold and injectors (it was leaking oil). The tranny was re-built at 70k and the odo has 150k on the clock. The injectors are OEM from day 1.

I have been driving a significant amount of highway and city in the last 3 days and the temperature in the high 90's. It seems that there3 is a connection between this and the heat.

My 99 had exact same problem untill last weekend. Opened the intake and the injectors were in the wrong places. 1 was in 3 hole and vice versa... it idled good but under accel it missed and fell on its face and when.the.torque convertor would kick in the missfire felt like someone was kicking my seat almost like a transmission issue... hope this helps as it was a 21.99 fix for newintake gasket and an afternoon opening it and swaping them around.

Thanks for the response I will call the shop and see what they can do. It only does it when its over 86 degrees. Otherwise it runs smooth and has no issues. I will do a follow up post if that is the case.
