1998 Tahoe Pulsing Lights!

I bought a used 1998 tohoe, the heads lights and dash lighs pulse. Looking for a lttle help .

have a good battery in it? sounds like its only pulling power from the alt.

If it is pulsing like completely off and on again you probably have a loose power wire. probably feeding the headlight switch connector if not the switch itself. Have diagrams if needed.

the light do not go out, they for 100 % to 80% and back 100%. dash light and headlight

If it is not a loose connection, I would guess that the voltage regulator in the alternator is on the fritz. Does your voltage gauge move too? Try putting a meter on the battery and see if the readings swing. Ill bet it only does it when the truck is running?
