2 inch drop on awd 08 yukon denali?

im wanting to stiffen up the suspension on my 08 awd yukon denali, i have AR 1 7/8 headers, k&n cai, diablo predator, magnaflow catback, and hotchkis swaybar kit, stoptech brakes. I wanted my next mod to be a 2 in drop for better handling, NOT FOR LOOKS. I have the stock 20's and the stock gm autoride struts. The guys at the shop say dont drop it, what should i do?
If i want to drop it, should i get different struts/rims or will the car perform oddly, does anyone have any experience dropping the yukon denali? Would appreciate some suggestions.

ive done same truck cept added a yank ptb3600 stall and a hsw 100 shot 60 foots 1.7s on 275 55 20s cept went with hp tuners much better than diablo.

for lowering in front get the autoride spindles and in rear the 3-4 inch springs made for the autoride system Bringing the truck down will make it handle better.

now are you planning to do a big stall or spray?

btw the kti above will still make the autoride system work correctly and you will get no dash lights.

i was wondering if i was to expect any rubbing during turns with maximum passenger capacity, i want the truck to remain as close to stock reliability as possible, i havnt really looked into a big stall or anything as of yet. my next move after i get this supension figured out is gonna be building the tranny and motor to run boost, got a long road ahead of me before i start shopping for carbon fiber drive shafts and turbo chargers, cant wait

it wont rub because the autoride system sill will pump the rear up with a load and release when the load is taken off.

we have an 08' burban with autoride, dropped 2/3. We've loaded it down with 9 people and on 24s and we don't get any rubbing at all. The autoride just levels it back out no matter how much weight you end up with in back (within reason).

With just me and the wife in it, on stock 20s, it handles like its on rails (for a 4+ ton SUV). I am sure with a sway bar it would only get better.

thanks for the input, i really wanna do it, but im still a little cautious and nervous as to how the end result will perform, and also kinda worried that the drop wont look so good with the stock twenties, might look kinda silly, anyone got any pics of a dropped denali on the stock 20's?
i kinda wanna keep it looking stock, its either that, or some HRE's, but i honestly dont really like the way aftermarket rims look on the 07+ yukon/tahoe/esalades, looks kinda ghetto to me for some reason, maybe its all the hip/hop influenced in the accents, as hank hill would say, buwahaaa!!!

You could always do a simple 2" rear drop to lever the truck out and leave the front alone.

I know mcgaughys makes one for the non autoride suspension, haven't seen one for the autoride tho, but one should be out there.

A lot of peeps like a level truck ... some raise the front others drop the rear, I'm considering it myself since I've taken off my 2-3/4 drop cause it's less intrusive and will reduce the massive gap between the rear tire and fender.

Just throwing suggestions out there.

that g-note guy posted some pics of a stock wheeled tahoe with a drop a few posts down from me on the suspension forum, looks pretty nice, so i guess the stock 20's wont look funny on the yukon, i hope, leaning more and more towards the drop now, just kinda nervous

why did you take off your drop, did you experience any problems like rubbing and bottoming out and speed bump issues? i plan on towing my 03pathfinder with it pretty often
