Hey everyone, I am looking to buy some LTZ rims for my 2004 Tahoe z71

I am debating on 20"s vs 22"s

Not only that though. I already have a set of tires for either

I have a brand new set of 275/55r20 hankook Dynapro which is the standard size tire that come from the factory on the nnbs Tahoes that came with 20's

I also have a new set of Pirelli Scorpion zero 275/45/22 112vp if I decide to go with the 22"s

I am torn between the two but leaning more towards the 22's for the looks but I don't want ride quality to suffer too much. The escalades that came with 22's came with 285/45/22 I believe so not sure if that's a big difference from my 275 series.

so I'm here to try to get thoughts and opinions to help me make up my mind. I recently had an 03 with the 20" LTZ wheels with 275/55/20 and it drove very nice so I don't want to go 22's if it's going to be a lot rougher but they do look a lot nicer imo

The 275 on 22s is a pretty thin tire. Not a lot of side wall so if you go that route you will have a pretty rough ride. I would at least stick with the 285 size on the 22s. If your truck is purely a street truck than 22s isn't a big deal. But I think 20s are a better bet for the nbs trucks. Rides better and is enough to fill the wheel well. Plus if you drive off pavement it's not as big of a concern about ruining a wheel.

Yeah I also just thought about winter driving and I think the 20" hankook might be better for me since the truck will be driven in snow. Damn I like the looks of the 22's. I just read some reviews in the 275/55/22 Pirelli and they have some pretty bad reviews about tread wear. Also some people say not good in wet and snow conditions.

So a 275 in the 22's may not look good in the wheel well your saying?

I would go 285 but I would have to buy them and don't want to since I already have the 275 Pirelli

Yeah the 275 would be too small in my opinion for the wheel well. But more importantly crappy ride. 20s would be better for more side wall and hankooks are great in the snow and rain in winter.
