2000 Tahoe amp bypass

I've got a stock 2000 Tahoe LT with a non-Bose factory stereo and amp. I've got issues with the sound cutting out, intermittently and and for long periods of time. I believe it's the amp. My local junk yard wants $30 for one, but I'm not 100% that's the issue so I'd like to buy a pre-made amp bypass cable for testing.
I know this has been discussed in the past, but I can't find the threads.

You can use the Metra 70-2021, it says for impala but you can use it on the tahoe.

The Impala adapter will clip in, but the wire routes are incorrect, so if you use the Impala bypass, you will need to reroute the wires like this...

That's easy to switch around, and it will still work.

Wtf, $89. That ridiculously expensive, I would rather make my own or buy the impala one and correct the wiring.

Mine does that too. I am replacing the entire stereo system with Alpine door speakers, head unit and Amps.

I'm going to try the re-wired Impala bypass. Hoping that eliminates either the amp or stereo so I can get replacing the failed one and have tunes again !

Mine fails only when my heat is on, I am also gonna try the impala bypass.

I just tested with the Impala bypass, rewired and it corrected my issue. I bought it on Amazon, for like $10
