2000 yuk center console broke...annoying

So my center console has been broke for a while and I cant figure out how to fix it. The damn lid doesn't latch and the mechanism to open it has fallen out. I'm tired of it flinging open on turns. Does anyone have a diagram showing how it works or Pics of the parts so I can figure out what to replace please?

You might not like the answer, but your best bet will be getting a new lid off Ebay or from a wrecking yard. The two lid halves have clips that hold them together, but GM also added glue to make sure they stay put...

Well I managed to get it to hold together using brute force. Got a spring to hold the lock in a closed position so it will atleast hold shut until I can find a used one for cheap.

i broke the clip to to my console to... i put 2 2 1/2 lb weights under the rubber mat so it stays closed LOL. i went to a dealer and asked they said i need a whole new console
