I am in a real predicament. Have a 2000 Yukon XLT. The 3rd row seat has its front 2 hooks resting on top of the metal anchors and the back 3 hooks are locked in tight on theirs. Visualize that now the seat can rock just slightly back and forth with the back hooks as the fulcrum. I cannot figure a way to get the seat out and there is no way to lock the front hooks in. I do not care if I have to destroy the seat to solve the problem. Do I disassemble it? Detach the front hooks somehow? Please help with brainstorms on options. Thank you.

When I got my 2004 Yukon with a third row seat none of the levers would move so I spray all the hinge points with WD-40 then it worked great. I think I also did the same thing you've done where the seat is kind of stuck. I think I just started pulling levers and rocking the seat forward to get it back in the right position. Btw XLT is a Ford term haha.

Assuming you checked your owners manual and you have tried every "unlatch" mechanism as described in the manual?

There should be a latch on each side on the back of the seat which you push in order to remove the seat. Once you open the rear hatch you should see them on the bottom back of the seat.
