Dont know if this has already been asked. But i purchased my 2000 Chevy Tahoe Z71 about 6 months ago. When i bought the truck it didnt have any noises from the rear end what so ever. Now after puttin a few thousand miles on it. When taking off from a stop sign or a red light it makes a ( best way to describe it is) a URP noise. LOL. and you can fill the rear end roll back. Just wanted to see if anyone had or heard about this problem. Been told that it's " The Clutches?? need to be replaced, Rear End Bushings,Shocks are bad?? Normal rear end roll?? and best of all Oh thats normal,Chevy has always had that problem. It will be fine. Just dont wanna spend a bunch of money and a guessing game at the shop:emotions122:

I wonder if someone changed the lube right before you bought it and forgot to put in the additive. If it is a Limited Slip rear end it needs a special GM additive. Just an idea.

My Z71 is positive traction but that is listed as an option so not sure which yours may be. You could decode the VIN at CompNine if you are unsure. That should tell you.

Yeah I thought about if someone put in the additive. So I replaced all the fluids in the Hoe. My father use to work for GM but he his a pain in the a** to get ahold of. But good news, i called the warranty company I have on it. They are going to fix what ever it is. They were just kinda fussy beings they just paid 3,800 to replace the motor in it..lmao But thanks for the tip.
